Do I need a new phone number for an answering service?
No. Keep your number. You forward your existing office or cell line to the LexFlo number, either every call or only the ones you do not answer. Or take a new local number from LexFlo and publish that. Nothing is ported and nothing changes with your carrier.
Three ways to connect
- Forward everything: every call to your line rings LexFlo first.
- Forward on no answer: you pick up when you can; after a few rings, LexFlo answers.
- New number: LexFlo gives you a local number to put on your website and ads.
What the caller sees
The caller dials your number as always. Confirmation emails come from LexFlo. Your own line is untouched, so you can turn forwarding off any time from your phone settings.
Setup time
Send the setup form and you are live within two business days. Forwarding itself takes a minute on most carriers.
Questions
Will my caller ID still work?
Yes. Sara sees the caller's number and asks whether it is the best one to reach them, so a caller on someone else's phone can give their own.
Can I turn it off during the day?
Yes. Forwarding is controlled from your own phone or carrier, so you can switch between all-calls and missed-calls whenever you like.
What are the minutes and overage?
$199 a month with 300 call minutes included, then $0.35 a minute, up to a monthly cap you set. No setup fee.
